Authorities investigating suspicious death in rural Scott County

DONAHUE, Iowa – Authorities are investigating a suspicious death today in this small Scott County town.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said the Donahue Fire Department and Medic Ambulance were dispatched to 107 N. Main St. at about 3:10 a.m. today for an EMS call. Upon arrival, emergency officials determined the subject was deceased.

The death is being classified as suspicious in nature, pending the results of an autopsy by the Scott County Medical Examiner, sheriff’s officials said.

Authorities are not releasing the name of the deceased person, pending notification of relatives.

The investigation is being handled by the Scott County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division.
