Barack Obama’s campaign confirmed rumors Monday that talk show host Oprah Winfrey would visit Iowa to stump for Obama.
Winfrey will visit Des Moines and Cedar Rapids on Dec. 8, with times and locations to be announced. The campaign is guaranteeing tickets to volunteers who complete a four-hour volunteer shift or a caucus training before the event.
Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said the campaign is looking to hand out as many tickets as possible and is hoping many undecided caucus-goers attend.
