3 face drug charges

STERLING, Ill. — Three people have been arrested in an ongoing cocaine distribution investigation in the Fulton, Ill., area.

Arrested were Eddie L. Douglas, 38, and Michelle L. Scarbrough, 30, both of 23945 Waller Road, Fulton, and Nick Schaley, 41, of 318 2nd St. South, Clinton, Iowa.

The three were charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park.

Both are felony charges.

Police say Douglas, Scarbrough and Schaley were arrested Oct. 18 after they participated in the delivery of cocaine to a Illinois State Police informant.

The Illinois State Police Blackhawk Area Task Force in conjunction with the Fulton, Prophetstown, Ill., and Stockton, Ill., police departments as well as the Whiteside County Sheriffs Department took part in the investigation.
