NEWS RELEASE

Davenport, Iowa  –  October 8, 2007 – Greg Schermer, Chairman of the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, has announced the appointment of Lance Willett to a newly created position with the Adler Theatre.

Willett will serve as president of the Adler Theatre.  This position will involve the coordination of the Theatre’s relationships to its investors, financial institutions and agencies, which provided financing for the Adler Theatre’s recent backstage renovation and stage expansion project.  Willett will work with the RiverCenter Adler Theatre management firm, VenuWorks, and the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts Board of Directors to ensure the Adler Theatre’s continued financial success, while expanding community outreach and educational partnerships.

Lance Willett recently retired following a thirty-year career as executive director of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra.

Greg Schermer commented on the appointment, “Lance’s experience as a manager and leader of one of the community’s largest non-profit arts organizations is a perfect fit for the Adler Theatre as we continue to develop the Adler as the region’s premier presenting facility.”
