Tornado warning issued for Cedar and Clinton counties

BREAKING NEWS: (Updated 8:13 p.m.) The National Weather Service, Davenport, has issued a tornado warning for areas of Cedar and Clinton counties in Iowa until 8:45 p.m. tonight.
At 7:55 p.m., the Weather Service’s Doppler radar indicated a tornado six miles west of Tipton moving at 40 mph. The tornado was expected to be near Tipton at about 8:05 p.m., Clarence about 8:15 p.m., Lowden about 8:20 p.m., Toronto at about 8:25 p.m., Lost Nation at about 8:35 p.m. and six miles northwest of Delmar at about 8:45 p.m.
The safest place to be in a tornado is in a basement or interior room or hallway on the lowest floor of a building.
