The Rock Island County Home Extension will host its annual awareness day and new member tea beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church, 1717 8th Ave., Moline.
Awareness Day showcases members’ skills including quilting, needlework and artwork. Prospective members can learn about educational programs, hands-on classes and more. The speaker will be Avenil Kincaid of Erie, Ill., who will present a program at 11 a.m. on historical hats, antique jewelry, gloves and purses. All members will wear the hat of their choice.
