A child safety seat inspection will be held from 9 a.m. to noon today at Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan. It is being sponsored by the dealership and Safe Kids Quad-Cities.

“Improper usage is a national problem and that includes the Quad-Cities,” said Keene Hart, coordinator of Safe Kids. “Our own child passenger safety seat checks are showing that approximately 92 percent of the vehicles have improperly installed restraints. The No. 1 thing we see is car seats that are not secured tightly enough.”
