Residents can dispose of old medications

Area residents can safely dispose of old medications, exchange mercury thermometers for digital ones, pick up and drop off sharps containers and have data-sensitive documents shredded for free during Operation Medicine Cabinet Sept. 20-22.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Medic EMS Facility, LeClaire Road and U.S. 61 in Eldridge, Iowa; from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 21 at Bettendorf Fire Station, Middle and Crow Creek roads, Bettendorf, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, 2815 W. Locust St., Davenport.
