East Moline police are looking for a man who robbed an IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union Wednesday morning.

Lt. Thomas Reagan said the incident was reported at 11:23 a.m. at the credit union near the intersection of 17th Avenue and Kennedy Drive.

The suspect didn’t say anything to the teller but passed a note, which claimed he had a weapon, Reagan said.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot and running into a residential neighborhood north of the credit union, the lieutenant added.

A bank security camera captured an image of the suspect as he was leaving. Witnesses said the suspect is a white male about 5 feet 10 inches tall, around 160 pounds and in his early to mid 40s. He wore a long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, Reagan said.

The suspect was in the bank for about a minute, Reagan said.
