Youth fishing derby set for Sept. 8 in Morrison

MORRISON, Ill. — The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department and Mounted Patrol will sponsor a youth fishing derby from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 8 at Morrison-Rockwood State Park, Morrison, Ill. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
A free fishing contest will be open to all youths ages 15 and younger. Prizes will be awarded. A parent or guardian must sign for each child.
