Man robs, shoots at Sterling resident

STERLING, Ill. — Police in Sterling are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a resident and then fired at the victim.
Nicholas T. Sheley, 28, of Sterling, is wanted by police in connection with the incident.
Police said the shooting happened at 10:26 p.m. Thursday at a residence in the 200 block of 5th Avenue.
The victim said a man entered the residence, displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said. As the man was leaving he allegedly fired the gun at the victim. No one was injured.
The suspect fled the area on foot and was described as being about 5-foot-10 and weighing about 160 pounds with strawberry blonde hair.
