Deer hunting set to begin in Clinton

Deer hunting in the City of Clinton will be Sept. 15 through Jan. 27 as part of the city’s deer management plan.
Packets can be picked up at Ericksen Community Center beginning today. In the packet is an application form, a copy of the city ordinance, map of the management zone and city property at Ericksen Community Center.
Proficiency testing is required to obtain a city permit. The testing will take place Saturday and Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at the community center, 1401 11th Ave. N., Clinton, Iowa, or by calling (563) 243-1260.
