Life in the Quad-Cities is great. We have a couple of great rivers, great schools and colleges, great festivals and concerts, great sports teams and places for them to play, and a great airport.

One thing we don’t have, though, is passenger rail service. It’s ridiculous that an area of our size hasn’t had this kind of service for so many years. I would certainly love to be able to hop on the train and go to Chicago for a day of shopping or sight-seeing. Whether for business or pleasure, I’m sure that thousands of Quad-City area passengers would eagerly and regularly take the opportunity to ride the train.

If you are among those who think rail service between the Quad-Cities and Chicago would be a good thing, now is the time to make your wishes known, as our legislators in Springfield are currently negotiating a capital bill. Please contact them by letter, email or phone and ask them to fund passenger rail service in the Quad-Cities. Do your part to help get the Quad-Cities “back on track!”
