GOP women host annual spring fundraiser

The Scott County Republican Women will hold their annual spring fundraiser at noon Monday at Club Mokan, 4227 W. Kimberly Road, Davenport.
Scheduled to appear is U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colorado, a GOP candidate for president. Representatives of three other candidates also are expected.
Josh Romney, the son of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, is scheduled to be there for his father. Also, stand-ins for former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson and U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kansas, are expected. Other state and local party leaders and elected officials also plan to attend. Cost is $7 per person, or $25 for a table of four. There will also be a silent auction.
