Thirty-two teams received bids to the National Invitation Tournament on Sunday. Iowa wasn't one of them, missing out on a postseason tournament for the first time since 2000. That means the Hawkeyes ended their season with a 74-55 loss to Purdue on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

Iowa (17-14, 9-7 Big Ten) was considered an NCAA Tournament bubble team until a loss at Penn State on Feb. 28. The Hawkeyes finished tied for fourth in the Big Ten. Michigan State, which finished a game behind Iowa at 8-8 in the conference, made the NCAAs as a No. 9 seed.
