This week’s house is a four-bedroom, two-story home with the master suite on the first floor and a lower-level walk-out. Three rooms at the rear — the breakfast area off the kitchen, the master bath and a second-story bedroom — feature angled walls.

The front exterior is covered in brick, with a second-story window and a brick arch around the entrance. The balance of the house is sided in light brown vinyl, accented with dark brown shutters. The front door is topped by a window and there are two sets of sidelights. The front porch decking is made of oversized slate tile.

The foyer is two-story with an oversized ceramic tile floor. There is a closet to your left (the plan is flipped) and ahead there is a winding staircase reminiscent of those found in old Southern plantation homes. The staircase has maple railings and exposed end caps and white spindles.

Ahead and to your right there are two columns framing the formal dining room. The room is two-story, has wainscot paneling and features a wall of windows.

Ahead and to your left is the master suite that extends from the front to the back of the house. The bedroom has a tray ceiling with decorative rope lighting and there is a walk-in closet with a wire rack clothing organization system. The bath features maple cabinets, a double well marble countertop sink and a shower with a glass block wall.

The great room has a cathedral ceiling and a gas log fireplace with a black marble tile surround and white mantel, flanked by windows. The paneling above the mantel extends to the ceiling and is wired for television.

The kitchen has a hardwood floor and features maple cabinets, granite countertops and a stainless steel microwave, glass cooktop range and dishwasher.

Adjoining the kitchen there is a morning area, also with a wood floor, and there is a door opening to a cedar deck.

Off the kitchen is a utility area with a closet and a laundry with a ceramic tile floor and a sink.

The three-car garage is finished with painted drywall. There is a pedestrian door to the back.

The staircase to the second floor has a landing with a view of the great room and the foyer.

Bedroom No. 2 has a vaulted ceiling and two walk-in closets. It faces the front of the house and has the window with the arched top.

Bedroom No 4 faces the rear of the house and has the angled wall matching the morning area on the first floor.

Completing the second floor layout is a linen closet and a common bath with a maple vanity and a separate area with a tub/shower unit, stool and second sink.

The lower level walk-out offers opportunity for future expansion.

Oiled bronze hardware is used throughout the home.
