DES MOINES – Governor-elect Chet Culver announced Wednesday he is keeping the current directors of state agencies that oversee education policy, human services, human rights and tax collections.

Culver, a Democrat who takes office next month, also announced that his former campaign manager, Patrick Dillon, will serve as his chief of staff. And Culver’s transition director, Charles Krogmeier, will take over the Department of Management.

Current Department of Education Director Judy Jeffrey, Department of Human Services Director Kevin Concannon, Department of Human Rights Director Walter Reed and Department of Revenue Director Mark Schuling, will remain on the job after Culver is sworn in Jan. 12.
