Lane & Waterman LLP, a law firm with offices in Davenport and Rock Island, has been ranked as one of Iowa’s top four general commercial litigation firms, according to “America’s Leading Business Lawyers 2006,” a guide for the legal profession. Lane & Waterman also ranked among the top five corporate, mergers and acquisitions firms in the state and top seven real estate firms statewide, according to the publication.
The publication also cited four Lane & Waterman lawyers for their work: managing partner Dana Waterman, David Dettmann, Robert Waterman and Thomas Waterman.
“America’s Leading Business Lawyers” ranks lawyers in categories of practice, by state. According to the publication’s Web site, www.chambersandpartners.com , the U.S. rankings are based on in-depth interviews with clients and attorneys.
Dana Waterman, Robert Waterman, Thomas Waterman, Dettman and Peter Benson have been included in “The Best Lawyers in America 2006-2007.” Dana Waterman is cited for corporate, mergers and acquisitions and securities law; Robert Waterman, commercial litigation, legal malpractice law and medical malpractice law; Thomas Waterman, commercial litigation; Benson, health care law; and Dettmann, real estate, trusts and estates and employee benefits law.
“The Best Lawyers in America” is a referral guide compiled after an annual survey of U.S. lawyers. Lane & Waterman was established in 1854. The firm is a general practice law firm with 40 lawyers and has offices in Davenport and Rock Island.
