Michael Millea, 15, son of Tim and Beth Millea, Davenport, was awarded the Eagle Scout rank.

For his Eagle service project, he built an Adirondack shelter at Camp Shalom in Maquoketa, Iowa. The three-sided, roofed shelter provides a protected outdoor sleeping site for those who use Camp Shalom. Many area individuals and businesses donated money or building materials at cost to facilitate the construction of the shelter.

He is a member of Troop 20 of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Davenport. He has been involved in Scouting since the age of 6 in Pack 20, then Troop 20. He earned the Arrow of Light while a Cub Scout and at the time of his Eagle ceremony had earned 44 merit badges. He serves as troop bugler, and has been troop guide, senior patrol leader, scribe and den chief. He served as a Pine Tree staff member in 2005 and 2006. He is a brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow and has earned three Catholic religious medals.

He is a sophomore at Assumption High School, Davenport.
