Scott County

Monday: Pot roast, potatoes, vegetables, bread, chocolate cream pie and tomato juice.

Tuesday: Taco bake, salsa, tomato and lettuce mix, roll, pears, gelatin cake with whipped topping.

Wednesday: Southwestern pork, baked sweet potato, asparagus, bread, applesauce and an oatmeal cookie.

Thursday: Steak with gravy, potatoes, spinach, muffin and peaches.

Friday: Chicken breast, red beans and rice, green peas, roll, fruit cocktail and a bar. The only meals sites that are open are Lend-A-Hand, CASI and Friendly House.

n Center for Active Seniors Center — Call (563) 386-7477 at least 24 hours in advance for reservations. A suggested donation of $2.75/meal for guests 60 and older, and $5 for guests younger than 60 is requested.

n Generations Area Agency on Aging — Call (563) 324-9085 at least 24 hours in advance for reservations. Serving times and open days vary at each of our meal sites. A suggested donation of $2.75 for guests 60 and older, and $5 for guests younger than 60 is requested.

n Friendly House — The menus for Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday also will be served 11:30 a.m. at Friendly House, 1221 Myrtle St., Davenport. A suggested donation of $2.75/meal for guests 60 and older, and $5 for guests younger than 60 is requested. Call Lynn, (563) 323-1821, by 11:30 a.m. the preceding day to make reservations.

n West Park Presbyterian Church — The menu for Tuesday also will be served noon at West Park Presbyterian Church, 4209 W. Locust St., Davenport. Call (563) 391-0236 for reservations.

Rock Island County

Monday: Chicken breast, vegetables, ambrosia, wild rice and a chocolate chip cookie.

Tuesday: Beef and noodles, lima beans, applesauce and butterscotch pudding.

Wednesday: Taco salad in a taco bowl shell, fruit cocktail, and a sugar cookie.

Thursday: Illini rice, corn, apricots, bun and coconut cream pie.

Friday: Holiday senior center and meal sites closed. No home delivered meals.

n Project NOW Senior Centers — Meals are available at Project NOW’s 13 social centers throughout Rock Island County for a suggested donation of $2.25. (Project NOW’s home-delivered meal program offers essentially the same menu as noted here, a suggested donation $3). Special diets available. To find the location of a senior social center near you, call (309) 788-6335. 24 hour advance notice is best, although walk-ins are welcome.
