(Larry Fisher/Quad-City Times) Medical personel and police officials work on a victim who was involved in a multiple vehicle accident on the I-74 bridge early this morning.

TODAY: (Updated 9:32 a.m.) Traffic on Interstate 74 is moving again this morning after a eight-car pileup closed Iowa-bound traffic near the Grant/State street exit about 8 a.m.

Bettendorf police reported no injuries. Police and other emergency personnel had the accident scene cleaned up in a little more than an hour, but until then traffic was stopped.

Illinois-bound lanes also were delayed to  accommodate emergency vehicles going to the scene.

Bettendorf police said this morning that many drivers were calling 911 to alert them of the accident.
