Mall to host beauty pageant, baby contest

A baby contest and beauty pageant will be Saturday in Dillard’s Court at SouthPark Mall, Moline. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the contest at 2 p.m.
Boys from newborn to 3 years and girls from newborn to 25 will compete in several age categories. One outfit is needed for the competition. Girls may wear Sunday dresses, pageant dresses or gowns. Boys may wear their Sunday best or tuxedos. Optional events include most beautiful or most handsome, best fashion, most photogenic (a picture must be turned in at registration), prettiest hair, prettiest eyes and prettiest smile.
There will be two grand overall winners. Each winner will receive a trophy, custom crown, title banner, $25 in Cover Miss bucks, the $200 fee for the state final and one night of lodging at the state final.
