Patriot Renewable Fuels LLC. has selected a company to supply corn to its new 100-million-gallon-per-year ethanol facility when it begins production in mid-2008 in Annawan, Ill.

Consolidated Grain and Barge Co., with headquarters in Louisiana and a regional office in Hennepin, Ill., will purchase 37 million bushels of corn from commercial elevators and producers to provide a “seamless supply” for the Patriot ethanol plant, said Don King, Patriot’s vice president.

Consolidated Grain will begin posting bids in January for corn deliveries to the plant in 2008, officials said.

For more information about Patriot, call (309) 935-5700. Information about Consolidated Grain can be found on its Web site at www.cgb.com.
