In the aftermath of terrorism and recent school shootings, youth can feel overwhelmed with concerns of safety, security and trust.

The American Red Cross “Facing Fear” curriculum is designed to help young people in kindergarten through 8th grade address their fears and move beyond them. The curriculum contains lesson plans for teachers and includes hands-on interactive activities.

Teachers interested having a member of the Red Cross staff come to their classroom and teach “Facing Fear” should contact Kim Crosby at (309) 743-2166 or email crosbyk@usa.redcross.org.
