A 35-year-old Taylor, Ill., man is charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage after a motorcycle accident that occurred Saturday night, Moline police said Sunday.

John Sheffey was westbound in the 3000 block of River Drive when the crash occurred about 9:35 p.m., police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and police said it appeared the driver lost control of his  motorcycle. The driver did not have a passenger.

Sheffey was transported to Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island, where he underwent treatment for what police described as minor injuries.
