CLINTON, Iowa — A Clinton man has been charged with allegedly trying to run his estranged wife and another man off the road with his car.
Terry A. Bullard, 39, of 2905 Meadowview Drive, was arrested Sunday and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and eluding police.
According to court records, police responded to the intersection of South 14th Street and Camanche Avenue in Clinton at 5:10 p.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a disturbance. Officers saw Bullard sitting in a car arguing with his estranged wife, Angela Bullard. When he saw the police officers, Bullard drove away, initially refusing to stop when police followed him until he stopped in the 1600 block of Camanche Avenue, according to court records.
Police learned that Terry Bullard had allegedly followed Angela Bullard and Joshua Dykstra from the intersection of U.S. 67 and U.S. 30 into Clinton, trying to run them off the road. Bullard also allegedly had a confrontation with Dykstra after Bullard pulled his vehicle in front of Dykstra’s, forcing it to stop.
Bullard was released and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 7. An order of protection was issued requiring Terry Bullard to stay away from Angela Bullard and Dykstra.
