History: August Zimbal is a well known rock band from Davenport, Iowa. Recently we have reached a level of recognition that has encouraged us to share our music on a level way beyond the local area. Our journey began with the making of this self titled EP which was released earlier this year. This record is a strong, yet delicate blend of our talents and abilities, and has found its way into the hearts and minds of many fans. August Zimbal formed in early 2005. Since we've been together we've played many shows in Iowa and Illinois. Some highlights include a lot of radio play and a couple interviews with CJ the DJ of Rock 104.9 (The Quad City Rocker), CD reviews by various magazines and papers, being featured on a huge Indie Sampler Compilation CD out of Orange County, California, doing a three song web shoot for NoBudgetTV.com (a local SNL), and winning various Battle of the Bands throughout the years. These are to name only a few accomplishments. We've also had great local and regional success with our many performances. We will be spreading out towards Chicago and Des Moines this summer for more shows.
